The Saltdean Lido Community Interest Company (CIC) has been awarded a first-round development grant by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) towards development of a detailed proposal for Round 2 funding, to bring this heritage Lido building back into use.
Saltdean Lido is one of only eleven remaining lidos in operation in the UK and one of three surviving seaside lidos. It is a major part of British cultural heritage as well as a key piece of 1930s design, confirmed by its recently upgraded listed status to Grade II star rating.
