Mapei are pleased to announce the launch of Mapewall GPR – a general purpose render suitable for rendering and levelling internal and external masonry substrates, in thicknesses up to 15mm per layer, to an overall maximum thickness of 40mm.
Mapewall GPR is ideal for smoothing walls, dubbing out mortar, render only with sponge finish and as a render basecoat to receive a silicone and mineral finish. Mapewall GPR also enables surfaces to be finished in one of the products from Mapei’s popular range of decorative and/or protective coatings.
Easy to apply either with a trowel or a rendering spray machine, Mapewall GPR is a grey powder composed of cement, selected aggregates and special synthetic resins. Simply mix one x 25kg bag of Mapewall GPR with 5/5.5 litres of clean water to provide a render for application on suitably prepared masonry substrates. Uneven substrates may require a first coat to build thickness and the system can be reinforced with Mapei Mapetherm Net to help prevent cracking. Once mixed, the product remains useable for one to three hours.
One 25kg bag of Mapewall GPR will cover an average of 1.5m2 at 10mm thick. The recommended temperature for application is between 5°C-30°C, out of direct sunlight.
